Okay so I had great plans and lofty goals but unfortunately the gamer in me got hold of Dragon Age so any progress that was being made is not really on hold, but as slow as a snail right now. It is not quitting by a long shot, I just really love Dragon Age.

Okay, so no writing has been done since my last update. On the other hand, I have some more ideas of what I want to do with my original story, but that doesn't help this situation. The great news is that this semester is almost finished so I will be able to write more soon, especially with Thanksgiving around the corner.
Random notes...I finished what is out of Toriko and I have to say it is one of my top favorite shonen manga up there with Hunter x Hunter. I can't wait to get started on the anime, but I haven't watched anime in quite awhile besides Sailor Moon Crystal. The only thing I can fault is I want more people to actually die in it. Their plot armor is too strong!
While watching Mockingjay tonight I had the inspiration to go back and read the books I really enjoy and loved the entire way through, sorry Hunger Games your last book made me meh you, and really analyze the characters and settings. I want to see why I like certain books over others and what it takes for me to appreciate a character before I try to write my own. I believe this step will help make me a better author as well as I fully learn how plots tie together and work; not just from one book but from an entire series. I probably will share the information as I go on here, because why not.
Also, picked up reading Detective Conan and that manga pleases me so much. I could read that thing all day without stopping. I love the mysteries and how the solutions are never out of thin air.
Finally, I have been learning Power Point and am seriously considering using it more to help with ideas. This idea will have to be shown to make sense, because I can not begin to describe what I see in my head for this, but trust me, it will help me focus in the long run. Hopefully I can come up with actual progress soon. Sorry for the delay.
Okay, so I have managed to write 7 pages of the next chapter of The Cake is a Lie so far. That is the good news...the bad news is I didn't like 4 of those pages and deleted them completely. I will get the next chapter out but not in the two week goal I was aiming for. Hopefully I can manage one chapter a month at least.
Manga news.... Caught up in Blue Exorcist. While not a favorite manga of mine, it is a good manga. It is starting to pick up in its current arc and I hope that carries on into the future. Because I have caught up I started Toriko and so far I'm loving that. I am progressing much more rapidly. Oh, before you ask how I can read manga and not update.... I only have one hand when my kid is sleeping and he only sleeps on me. It makes things difficult and my best writing comes when I can write freely.
Gaming news... I am devastated by the reviews Unity is getting. I think I am going to hold off on getting it because what is the point if its buggy behind all hell and it's boring? I hope Rogue can scratch my AC itch for the year.
Idea news. While reading the latest chapter of Magi I had a crossover idea. I do not plan to follow it at this point but I want to chronicle it for when I get around to it. The Silver Millennium as an entire dungeon and Serenity as a djinn.
Okay, this is going to sound like a shill, I apologize for that. However, the fact remains that I just turned in more points and got yet another 5$ gift card for extremely little work. I'm talking about running an app on my phone and just checking it every thirty minutes or so to make sure it's still running. As much as I hate it... Let's do some math shall we? If I do nothing but run my phone every single day I'm going to get 36 points a day.
36 x 365 = 13,140 that equals to about 146$ in amazon gift cards a year. Now on the main site there's a couple things I can do to bump that up marginally that take little to no time.
1. Instal their toolbar. It doesn't give me ads or anything since I use Chrome and it has a little display when there are extra codes to be had. That is 1 point daily.
2. Daily Polls. For 5 seconds of my time, I can answer a poll and get another daily point.
3. No Obligation Special Offers. This takes about 30 seconds to say no to the 4-5 offers they present and enter the capcha code. Result? 2 more points.
4. Daily Crave - I will admit this takes more time than the above but this version runs pretty much automatically. You just check on it as I am while you're doing your normal internet activities every minute or so to scoot it along. You can get 12 more points if you watch it all.
12+1+1+2+36 = 52 x 365 = 18,980 which means you should be making now 210$ in gift cards a year.
That's not everything you can do on the site either, but that's the most minimum work you can do, and I did not even go into details about getting points for searches or the random emails they will send where you watch a video and earn a couple more points. Anyway, why am I talking about this? Well Thanks to this system I was FINALLY able to buy apollymi's books. So I'm a pretty super happy Usa-chan that I could support someone without it affecting my tiny wallet.http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/Raitenshi
if you guys are interested. For the record so far I have earned 30$ in giftcards in little over a month.
In other news, I have up to 3 pages written for the next chapter of 'The Cake is a Lie' and hopefully will be able to get another page or so done today. I think I have an idea of how to get more characters into the story organically, erm hopefully anyway. I hope to stick with it and achieve my hopeful bi-weekly updates.
Okay, I really miss having a live journal where I can keep some of my thoughts and quirks. Looking back at this in the last week or so I realized just how much I missed this place. Now that my life is my own I can come back and update how I see fit. I plan to continue on in ff.net so this will be a good landing spot. It saved one of my ideas I had long forgotten, afterall.
I added The Cake is a Lie to ff.net and despite not getting feedback I'm going to continue on and work on wrapping up evrything I mention on my profile list. I really missed rambling just because heh...
I know i don't really post much anymore... but if anyone still does read my babble I have a quest. More can be read here http://katherinewrites.livejournal.com/1968.html but the gist of it is.... My Neechan's laptop died, and while that might not seem like much, she does insane amount of research and writing on the thing, I mean her first book is coming out in just a few months, oh and you guys better buy it :p But anyway, she does need donations to get a new machine so she can continue her work. Even if you can't afford any actual money right now, just spread the word. I know she'll appreciate it.

So I take a break from Metal Gear Solid to give a quick write up on Stone Age 2 . For those not in the know, this is a MMORPG that's in beta right now. So we can't judge it too harshly just yet.

So.... Anyone that knows me, knows I have an issue with temptation. And working where I do...well...I give in a lot. Here's a nearly complete list of what I own at the moment. A couple games i know i have i can't find so its not 100%
Okay where to start... How about..
Work life is.... Sometimes I get really frustrated at my job. It seems like a never-ending mountain of things to do, and some of my customers... I just have the urge to jump across the counter and throttle kids when they're stupid. Which is... um... all the time? I actually almost escaped too~ Well escape is a little harsh... how about moved up? I've been in talks with Nintendo for a bit. The only reason I didn't get to go to the in person interviews was entirely my own fault.
I need to grow up
The whole thing with me dragging my feet about driving, has cost me one of those once in a lifetime jobs... It sucks, but I'm going to learn from this, and hey at least it got me out there and actually learning how to drive. I do kinda have another opportunity to try to leave retail. There's a vet office hiring down the road for a receptionist... I've never really done that work, but I would not mind it. It would be nice and easy in comparison.
As for the love life.... Eh... Still nothing, and that's ok. I don't think i'm meant to date really. It's a very uncomfortable thing for me.
And this is a bit odd since its a random idea that just kinda popped in my head but, I'm going to start posting personal reviews of all the free MMO's out there. Some of them are *really* good and others.... Well.... They're okay, but there's better out there. I'm probably going to speend a couple weeks to a month on each and going to blog about the details here. I wanna get in the process of writing reviews, hehe.
I just started this game a couple days ago... But just so you guys know what will be coming up, I'm going to be writing a review on Stone Age 2. Which is kinda odd because i never heard of the first one... but oh well ?
